Industrial equipment shipping from China
We ship industrial equipment from China — machine tools, production lines, moulds, assemblies and units. Heavy and out-of-gauge items travel by sea in a dedicated container, around 70 days, with securing inside the container designed for the specific unit. Before departure we inspect at the factory: we check the configuration, run a power-up test and send a photo report. We file the export declaration in China ourselves.
Why equipment travels in a container and how we secure it
Equipment means weight, an offset centre of gravity and assemblies that do not forgive impacts. So the default here is sea freight in a dedicated FCL container: no handling en route and no neighbours from a consolidated load pressed up against your machine tool.
Securing inside the container is designed for the specific unit rather than improvised: braces, straps, wooden crating where it is needed, protection for protruding assemblies. Loading takes place at the factory or at our warehouse in China, under supervision and with sealing.
Sea transit is around 70 days. If a line is down and waiting is not an option, individual assemblies and components can be sent by air from 10 days while the bulk travels by sea.
Pre-shipment inspection
We check the configuration
We reconcile the actual contents with the contract specification: all assemblies, tooling, tools and documentation. Missing items discovered in Ukraine cost months of correspondence with the factory.
We run a power-up test at the factory
The equipment is powered up and run in the presence of our representative before packing. If something does not work, it is resolved with the factory on the spot rather than after 70 days in transit.
We record it in a photo report
Condition, configuration and packing are photographed before loading. That is both your reassurance and the evidence base in case of a claim.
What about the documents and why the export declaration is critical
For equipment the export declaration in China is not a formality but confirmation of value. Customs clearance in Ukraine relies on it: without a correct declaration the high invoice value of the equipment turns into a dispute about customs value.
We file the export declaration ourselves — even when the supplier has no export licence. Customs clearance is handled by our own brokers, or we deliver the cargo to the terminal for yours — the logistics rate is the same.
To be clear about the limits: we do not carry out commissioning or installation in Ukraine — that is the supplier's job or your engineer's. Our area is making sure that exactly what you ordered leaves the factory in working order and with complete documents, and arrives undamaged.
Spare parts and consumables — in later consignments
Equipment outlives the first container: consumables, tooling and spare assemblies follow. These consignments are smaller, and shipping them in a dedicated container makes no sense — they travel as consolidated sea freight, by rail in 35–45 days, or by air when a part has stopped production.
If there are several suppliers — the factory, the tooling maker, the consumables seller — we gather everything into one shipment at our warehouse in China: consolidation, one set of documents, one rate.

Let us price the delivery of your equipment
Send the specification or a description: what the equipment is, weight, dimensions, the factory's city. We will price the container, securing and documents as a single rate and fix it before departure.
