Purchasing in China

Cargo consolidation at warehouses in China

We receive your orders from different suppliers at our own warehouses in Guangzhou, Beijing, Yiwu and Hong Kong, combine them into a single batch and ship them to Ukraine as one delivery — with one set of documents and one rate. This costs less than moving every box separately, and it is more transparent, because the whole cargo passes through one pair of hands before it leaves China.

Why assemble the batch in China

A typical purchase looks like this: furniture fittings from Foshan, electronics from Shenzhen, small items from Yiwu, and something else from Beijing. Five suppliers means five separate dispatches, five sets of documents and five minimum shipping charges.

Consolidation turns this into one delivery. The benefit comes from three things:

  • Rate. A small shipment always costs more per kilogram. An assembled batch counts as a single cargo, and a large volume opens the way to a container, where the price per cubic metre is lower still.
  • Documents. One invoice, one packing list, one declaration instead of five. That is both the paperwork fees and the time at customs.
  • Control. The whole batch physically sits at our warehouse before shipment. That is the moment when you can still recount it, check it, repack it and settle matters with the supplier.

How the goods reach our warehouse

There are three working scenarios, and all three are routine:

  • The supplier ships it himself. You give him our warehouse address and your client code. He sends it by domestic Chinese delivery, and we receive the parcel in your name.
  • We collect it from the factory. If the supplier will not or cannot arrange delivery, we organise collection ourselves, by dedicated vehicle or by groupage transport within China.
  • We buy it and receive it. When the goods are purchased through us, they go straight to our warehouse — this is the same product purchasing service that most clients start with.

On receipt every package is recorded: recount, reconciliation against your order, weighing, measuring, photos. The status is visible in your personal account — you can see what has arrived and what is still expected without asking a manager.

What we do with the cargo at the warehouse

OperationWhat it means in practice
Recount and measurementNumber of packages, weight, dimensions, calculation of volumetric weight for the rate
RepackingReplacing factory packaging when it will not survive the journey; compacting the batch to reduce its volume
Reinforced packagingCrating, palletising, stretch wrap, edge protectors, extra cardboard for fragile goods
MarkingApplying shipping data, package numbers, warning symbols
StickeringLabels with your article numbers, barcodes, warehouse or retail tags
Batch assemblyCombining packages from different suppliers into one shipment with a single packing list

All cargo handling takes place in China — in Guangzhou, Beijing, Yiwu and Hong Kong. We do not offer storage warehouses in Ukraine: our sites here work as transit points, not as a place where goods sit.

Where the batch goes next

MethodTransit timeWhen it makes sense
Sea, LCL groupage cargo70 daysRegular batches from a few boxes upwards
Sea, FCL container70 daysWhen the assembled volume is enough for a full container
Rail35–45 daysA compromise between transit time and rate
Airfrom 10 daysExpensive, light or urgent goods

Departures from the warehouses in China by air, sea and rail run daily, and by road 1–2 times a week, so an assembled batch ships without waiting. Consolidation is often exactly what moves a client from LCL to a container: when the batch is assembled at the warehouse, the volume is clear in advance, and the decision is taken before the freight is paid, not after.

How the work is organised

01

Warehouse address and client code

You receive the warehouse address and your client code — all of your suppliers quote it.

02

Suppliers dispatch the goods themselves, or we collect them from factories across China.

03

Receiving

Recount, weighing, measuring, photos, a record in your personal account.

04

Batch assembly

The goods wait at the warehouse for the rest of the batch. On your request — repacking, reinforced packaging, marking, stickering.

05

Documents

We close the batch, prepare a single packing list and file the export declaration.

06

Shipment

By the chosen method — sea, rail, air or road. The rate is fixed before departure.

07

Customs clearance

Handled by our brokers, or we hand the cargo over to your broker at the terminal.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Storage is free while the cargo is being prepared for shipment and waiting for the rest of the batch — your personal account shows which packages have already arrived. The warehouse is not a long-term storage service: if a batch takes longer than usual to assemble, we agree the period separately.
Terms are confirmed when we prepare the quote and fixed before work begins. Packing work is charged separately, for the specific cargo.
There is no limit. Every package is received under your client code, so a batch from twenty sources is assembled in the same way as one from two.
There is no minimum batch. We ship a few boxes as groupage cargo and full containers alike.
No. All cargo handling takes place in China, and we do not offer storage in Ukraine — our sites here are transit points.
Yes. Stickering and marking are standard warehouse operations. Send us the artwork and the placement requirements.
