About TCG Logistics
TCG Logistics is an international freight forwarder. We have worked in logistics since 2005: air freight, sea and rail transport, road delivery, customs clearance. We ship from China, Hong Kong, Korea and other countries in Asia to Ukraine and the EU, and we operate on the US and European routes. Today that means over 1,200 tonnes of cargo a year and more than 1,000 clients.
How we became what we are
TCG Logistics started out as a freight forwarder. We built the company around fully official, properly documented clearance: air freight, sea and rail transport, road delivery, work with customs in China and Ukraine, documentation, certification, foreign trade. The routes were Europe, Ukraine, the USA and the countries of Asia. This is the part of logistics that rests entirely on procedure: a correctly filed export, a clean declaration, a predictable border crossing.
In parallel, the old school of the China route was at work. Companies known by numbers instead of names, with their own warehouses in China, established consolidation, decades of practice in moving consolidated cargo and direct working relationships with the factories. They moved freight better than most — but they ran into paperwork. Clearance, certification, official import, dealing with customs: that was their bottleneck.
At first we simply helped. We handled the documentation, took the customs side on ourselves, and sorted out situations where the cargo had already arrived and there was no way to bring it in officially. The cooperation proved so natural that one-off tasks turned into a standing arrangement, and later into a merger.
What came out of it. Service and command of procedure — customs in China and Ukraine, forwarding, documentation, foreign trade — joined with the old school of warehouse work: our own sites in China, consolidation, knowledge of the factories and of how cargo actually moves. Two parts, each incomplete on its own, came together as a company that covers the whole chain, on the Ukrainian market and internationally.
Infrastructure
- China and Hong Kong. Our own warehouses in Guangzhou, Beijing, Yiwu and Hong Kong — where the shipment is put together. Receiving from factories, checking, consolidation, repacking, reinforced packing, labelling. All cargo handling happens here.
- Ukraine. Offices in Kyiv and Odesa. The main ports are Odesa and Chornomorsk. From there, road delivery to any city in the country.
- Europe. Transit capacity for routes through EU ports — Gdańsk and Constanța — and for individual China → EU and Ukraine → EU lanes.
One limit to state up front: we do not offer warehouse storage in Ukraine or Europe. This is pure transit. We do not carry temperature-controlled cargo.
How we work
Predictability
The rate is fixed before departure and is not recalculated on arrival. The most common complaint in this market sounds like "the weight turned out to be higher, pay the difference" — that is not how we work.
Transparency
Shipment status is visible in your account — no calls to a manager and no asking "where is it now". This is our answer to the main problem in this niche: the cargo exists, but there is no information about it.
Full cycle
We take the task from wherever it starts for you. Some clients need freight only. Others need us to find a factory, pay for the goods, assemble the batch, clear customs and deliver to their warehouse. Both options work.
What we do differently
- We finance the purchase. We pay the supplier with our own funds and you settle up after delivery. Your money is not tied up in cargo that is still at sea. Financing terms.
- Customs clearance on your terms. We clear through our own and partner brokers, or deliver the cargo to a terminal for your broker — the logistics rate does not change. More on customs clearance.
- We arrange our own charters. We negotiate directly with aircraft owners instead of buying space from intermediaries.
- We prepare the Chinese export declaration. Even when the supplier has no export licence and you have no documents for the cargo.
- We obtain permits and approvals. Declarations of conformity, sanitary and phytosanitary documents, state registration of dietary supplements. That is why we take on categories most companies turn down: supplements, tea, batteries, FPV components.
What affects the rate, and why it differs from one shipment to another, is explained on the page "What your rate depends on".
About the number 398
In the early 2000s, companies on the China route were identified not by brands but by warehouse numbers: each had its own section and its own number. "398" is one of those numbers, a marker of the generation that started this market. We kept it in the partner lock-up of the logo as a reference to the warehouse experience that became part of the company. In work with clients, everything runs under the name TCG Logistics.
